IUCD insertions undertaken by appointment only by Dr Lucy Green and Dr Helen Robinson.
If you are diagnosed with Long Term Condition, such a Asthma, Diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or Heart Disease, on a yearly basis, around the month of your birthday, you will be invited to come in to see a Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant for some routine tests. These may consist of blood tests, blood pressure check and other diagnostic tests. Your medication will also be reviewed by your GP or Pharmacists. Some of these reviews may be done over the telephone or face to face.
We also invite patients in for regular review, who have other diagnoses and who have to take medication on a regular basis because of their condition.
If you are a new patient to Townhead Surgery, please make sure you have informed us of any conditions you have and any medication you take, so we can monitor you accordingly.
All children are offered child health development checks. These are carried out by a doctor or a health visitor at regular intervals. Please ask for more information.
The surgery is now offering daily appointments with a Physiotherapist who will be able to assess and advise on treatment for the following:
- Soft Tissue injury i.e sprains and strains
- Back pain for longer than 4 weeks
- Sciatica and trapped nerves
- Flare up of long standing back or joint pain
